Honda recently revealed that it would bring its budget-car contender – the Brio – to South Africa and while no official pricing announcement has been made, a dealer advertisement has emerged that shows that the Brio will come in at under R120 000.
According to the advertisement, the manual 1,2 Comfort is will start at R119 800, while the automatic version will reportedly come in at R129 800. A two-year/30 000 km service plan is included in the price. The four-cylinder, 1,2-litre i-VTEC engine develops 65 kW and 109 N.m of torque.
We previously reported that Honda has put emphasis on safety and its Brio will come equipped with ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners and a high-tensile steel body construction. Items such as air-conditioning, an audio system, electric windows and power steering are likely to feature.
