The production version of the A-Class-based Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover is due to be unveiled at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. In the build-up to this event, the German manufacturer has released two teaser design sketches of the proposed model.
Little else is currently known about the vehicle except that it will look similar to the Concept GLA unveiled in Shanghai earlier this year. This concept is underpinned by the same MFA platform that forms the foundations of the new A-Class, B-Class and CLA models and measures 4 383 mm in length, is 1 978 mm wide and 1 579 mm tall.
The sketches look similar to the concept in that it’s clear the GLA on show in Frankfurt will feature a prominent grille, with swept-back headlamps, a brace of strong character lines and A-Class-inspired taillights.
CAR will be attending the Frankfurt Motor Show. Stay tuned to our website, Facebook page and twitter account for up-to-the-minute detail on all the new models on display.
