The sportier iteration of the Kiger is poised to undergo cosmetic enhancements, possibly featuring contrasting accents on select body panels and brake calipers. Potential modifications to the front and rear bumpers, along with the incorporation of Renault’s new logo, are also on the cards. While interior adjustments are expected to mirror the sporty exterior theme, specifics remain undisclosed. It’s anticipated that the enhanced Kiger will derive from the top-spec RXZ variant (available in India), inheriting its features and safety provisions. Renault India is reportedly planning on positioning it against models like Hyundai’s Venue N Line however its unlikely to receive any mechanical upgrades.

In terms of powertrain, Renault is likely to offer the sportier variant exclusively with the 74 kW, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, omitting the more lethargic, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated option. The availability of both the 5-speed manual and CVT auto transmissions remains uncertain.

Pricing for the new variant is projected to surpass the current range-topping RXZ Turbo variant, priced from Rs 10.23 lakh or around R230 000. There is no confirmation that the model will arrive in South Africa, but if it does it will join the comprehensive lineup of models starting from R249 999 in the Life model, to the Zen and all the way up to the most heavily specified Turbo Intens auto at R359 999. Should the aforementioned cosmetically updated model arrive, it would need to rival the R505 900 Venue N Line which employs a three-cylinder turbo petrol that delivers 88 kW and 172 N.m.
