Heading up to the New York Auto Show, Ford unveiled its new four-door Focus sedan. Similar to the updated hatchback the company showed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the sedan features the newer, sleeker front grille and headlights.
The new Ford Focus sedan, as well as the hatch derivatives, offers new body treatments, paddle shifters for the automatic transmission and revised suspension.
Other updates include a new steering wheel and several different wheel options. The cabin is equipped with either a 4,2- or 8-inch screen that which streams a feed from the rearview camera. Another update is Ford’s SYNC AppLink. Android and iOS smartphone users will now be able to download more than 60 AppLink-enabled apps.
Ford will also be unveiling Focus Electric in New York. On the other side of the scale, performance enthusiasts will be happy to know that an updated ST version will also be shown before the end of the year.
Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa wasn’t available to comment on the possible local introduction of the new sedan.
