Japanese premium marque Infiniti has revealed what its Q50 Eau Rouge concept will look like ahead of the prototype’s international debut at the North American International Auto Show next week.
Although the Q50 Eau Rouge draws inspiration from the company’s involvement in Formula One through its ongoing collaboration with the Red Bull Racing F1 team – much of the exterior aerodynamics are influenced by current F1 trends – the newcomer also represents Infiniti’s vision for future high-performance models.
The Q50 Eau Rouge is lower and wider than the production model and boasts plenty of carbon fibre in its construction (apparently the roof and door panels are the only components that have been retained from a standard car). Among the hallmark exterior features are the carbon fibre front splitter, rear diffuser and side skirts and exterior mirrors caps, as well as 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels and dual exhaust tailpipes.
Infiniti invites fans to reveal more of the Q50 Eau Rouge concept car head of its NAIAS launch through the online “garage” at http://unveil.infiniti.com by sharing views and comments through social media channels like Twitter (#F1Q50) and Facebook.
