Courtesy of Nikita Chuiko at Kolesa.ru, the automotive world has maybe got its first glimpse of what a production version of the Tasman will look like. It is worth noting that these are independent renders and aren’t official images from Kia but Chuiko made use of the resources like official teasers and spy shots to determine what the bakkie could look like. The verdict here is an unconventional design that is certain to stir some opinions among viewers.

As a recap, the Tasman is scheduled for a global launch in 2025 and is aiming for market expansion in Korea, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. While specific technical details remain undisclosed, reports suggest that the Tasman will debut with a potent turbodiesel engine. Rumours point to a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder powerhouse generating 148 kW of power and 440 N.m of torque, borrowed from the esteemed Kia Sorento. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the Tasman is speculated to offer both two- and four-wheel-drive variants to cater to diverse consumer preferences.
