Maserati has just unveiled its latest model, the 2025 GranCabrio Folgore, claiming the title of the world’s first and fastest fully electric luxury convertible. This model marks the harmonious blend of Maserati’s rich heritage with its futuristic vision for electric mobility.
Looking at the exterior, Maserati has maintained its signature vertical front lighting system, reminiscent of the MC20. Complementing this are sleek LED taillights that seamlessly fuse classic and modern design elements. The convertible’s fabric roof adds a touch of practicality, retracting in a swift 14 seconds even while cruising at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
Beneath the surface, the GranCabrio Folgore EV is equipped with a staggered wheel setup: 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, paired with Brembo 6-piston and 4-piston calipers for stopping power. Powering this sleek Italian marvel is an electric drivetrain featuring three 300 kW permanent magnet motors utilizing cutting-edge 800V technology. Together, they deliver a combined maximum power output of 560 kW (boostable to 610 kW with MaxBoost) and a peak torque of 1 350 N.m.

Now, let’s talk performance. The GranCabrio Folgore accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a blistering 2.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 290 km/h. Drivers can choose between rear-wheel and all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, along with selectable drive modes catering to various preferences and driving conditions. With its sizable 92.5 kWh battery pack (83 kWh usable), this electric convertible offers an impressive range of up to 447 km under the WLTP cycle.
Moving inside, the cabin exudes luxury and sophistication. Econyl material adorns the upholstery, dashboard, and panels, offering both style and sustainability. The all-digital cockpit boasts a 12.3-inch central display, a 12.2-inch digital dashboard, an 8.8-inch comfort display, and a configurable head-up display (HUD). Standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, accompanied by a premium Sonus faber audio system with 13 speakers (upgradeable to 16 speakers with 3D surround sound).
In terms of customization, the 2025 GranCabrio Folgore is available in six colour options: Bianco Astro, Nero Assoluto, Blu Modena, Verde Giada, Grigio Incognito and Grigio Maratea Matte.
