Stellantis Heritage is celebrating 75 years of Abarth with an homage to the legendary Fiat-Abarth 1300 OT of 1965. The foundation for this revival is none other than the Alfa Romeo 4C, resurrected for an unexpected return in 2024.

Reborn as the Abarth Classiche 1300 OT, this modern interpretation of a 1960s racing marvel is crafted with all-new carbon-fibre bodywork, breathing new life into the lightweight chassis of Alfa Romeo’s 4C. The Heritage department of Stellantis, dedicated to preserving the legacies of Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, and Abarth, is spearheading the project under its ‘Reloaded by Creators’ programme, crafting a limited run of five examples.
The Abarth Classiche 1300 OT sports distinctive features, including a roof-mounted intake scoop, a prominent Abarth logo on the rear panel, a redesigned nose, and rear window louvres, paying homage to its iconic predecessor while setting itself apart from the Alfa 4C.

Power is provided by the Alfa Romeo 4C’s mid-mounted 1.7-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, channelling 174 kW to the rear wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Though specifics on its performance are yet to be disclosed, the Alfa 4C’s sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 258 km/h provides a tantalizing glimpse into the capabilities of this reimagined classic.
The original Fiat Abarth OT 1300, born from the humble Fiat 850, made its mark in the FIA Group 4 competition after homologation in 1966, remaining a force to be reckoned with well into the 1970s. Its crowning achievement came at Monza in 1966, where it clinched all three podium spots, solidifying its place in motorsport history.
