Measuring 4 140 mm in length and 1 740 mm wide, the Urban Crossover Concept’s dimensions sit between those of the 208 and 3008, being 180 mm longer than the former and 225 mm shorter than the latter.
The concept’s design was co-penned by Style Peugeot divisions in Paris, Shanghai and Sao Paulo in a bid to conceptualize a multi-role compact vehicle with a modicum of urban and off-road ability.
Stylistically, there are hints of 208 and RCZ with hints of the compact hatch’s frontal styling while the ‘claw-mark’ brakelamps and double-bubble roof design have been inspired by the RCZ. It’s a combination that Peugeot claims to combine the “elegance and refinement” of a saloon with the “cheekiness and mischievousness” of an SUV.
Peugeot has not hinted at either powertrain details or the likelihood of production viability, instead suggesting that the concept outlines its intention to produce a model aimed at meeting the mobility needs of future megacities (metropolitan areas with a population exceeding 10 million people).
