The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has always been a symbol of luxury and technology and the upcoming 2024 model is about to take innovation to new heights. The brand has outdone itself this time, introducing a revolutionary new feature known as the Hyperscreen.

This piece of technology is expected to change the way drivers interact with their cars. The Hyperscreen is a massive digital display that spans across the entire dashboard of the E-Class. The Hyperscreen is made up of three separate screens that merge seamlessly into one another. This design gives the impression of a single, continuous display that provides a comprehensive view of the car’s information, entertainment, and navigation systems.
The large Hyperscreen packs a few tricks up its cabin, third-party apps can now be installed directly instead of being mirrored via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. In order to take advantage of this capability, Mercedes is launching an App Store that will have a “gradually expanding portfolio of apps.” With more than 30 streaming services from well-known global partners available on the Hyperscreen, it is a game changer, setting the bar even higher for luxury cabins.

The system also features a standard selfie camera and 5G connectivity, which fully runs all the entertainment provided by the screen. The Hyperscreen is not just a fancy display, it is also an incredibly powerful tool. It uses a combination of cameras, sensors, and microphones to gather data about the car’s surroundings, making it easier to navigate through busy roads and avoid accidents in the process.

Putting the screens aside, the E-Class will offer an active ambient lighting system and a 17-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system that will enable owners to “experience music with three senses.” Not much has been revealed about the interior of the E-Class but Mercedes has confirmed that it will offer Nappa leather seats with diamond quilting as well as new Dark Ash open-pore wood trim that is backlit. There will also be silver blended metal trim as well as the Manufaktur Piano Lacquer Flowing Lines trim from the S-Class.
