Polestar brought a bunch of electric models, both concept and production-ready, to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. But the one that is really grabbing everyone’s attention is the all-new Polestar Concept BST.

This concept car is based on the upcoming Polestar 6, a drop-top electric sports car. But the BST gets a whole bunch of extra parts that make it look even more aggressive, just like the race cars that tear up Goodwood every year. Think of it as a possible high-performance version of the Polestar 6, with a focus on extreme speed and handling. Polestar is also showing off its new electric SUV lineup at Goodwood, with the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 joining the already-available Polestar 2. But the real star of the show is definitely the BST. So what makes the BST so different from the regular Polestar 6?

First up, there’s a new front splitter that helps push the car down into the ground at high speeds. There are also bigger air vents that channel air around the front of the car for better cooling and aerodynamics. Plus, there are special vents in the bonnet to help get rid of hot air from the electric motor compartment. The BST also gets wider fenders to accommodate even bigger wheels. These aren’t just stuck-on flares, mind you. The entire front and rear sections of the car have been redesigned to be much wider than the regular Polestar 6.

But the most dramatic change might be at the back. The concept BST has a giant rear wing that looks like it could belong on a Le Mans race car. The wing is held up by supports that reach out from behind the removable hardtop. There’s also a new diffuser at the back to help suck air out from under the car and improve downforce. Big 22-inch wheels and a special silver paint job with “BST” graphics round out the aggressive look.

This concept gives a glimpse of what future high-performance electric cars from Polestar might look like. And that future looks very fast and very exciting.
