Built on an extended version of the CMP platform that underpins the current splendid, Indian-built C3 hatch, Stellantis Group will introduce the new C3 Aircross compact SUV in the second quarter of 2024. At 4,3 meters long, 1,7 metres wide and 1,6 metres tall, the Aircross is expected to rival the likes of the Toyota Urban Cruiser and Hyundai Creta.
Ferrari
We can’t wait to see the beautifully proportioned new Roma Spider in the metal in 2024.

INEOS
It looks as though we’ll have to wait until 2024 to get our hands on one of the sought-after INEOS Grenadier SUVs to test, but the good news is that this spiritual successor to the original Land Rover Defender will be joined by its Quartermaster double-cab, as well as a chassis cab (customisable double-cab) in the coming year.

We’re still a year away from seeing an all-new, all-electric product from Jaguar, but in the meantime keep your eyes peeled for one of a pair of last-of-their-breed F-Type ZP Editions (the last-ever petrol Jaguar) set to pounce into the country in 2024.

Maserati
Ciao Cielo! The spyder version of the fabulous-looking MC20, the new MC20 Cielo, is equipped with the same mid-mounted, 463 kW/730 N.m, twin-turbo 3,0-litre V6 petrol engine as its coupé blood brother.
Mazda

This 3,3-litre mild hybrid plant will debut in a flagship CX-60 Takumi derivative. Additionally confirmed are subtle updates to the popular CX-5 and CX-3.

Mitsubishi
Another outfit with a busy few months ahead, Mitsubishi will begin the year by introducing an updated Outlander loaded with more generous standard specifications. Most significant for Mitsubishi, however, is the launch in the second half of the year of the ASX replacement, the Outlander Sport; a new seven-seater SUV to replace the Eclipse Cross and of course, the arrival of the all-new Triton double-cab.

Omoda
One of Chery’s subsidiaries, Omoda will look to build on the momentum it established here with the launch of its striking Omoda C5 – once the Omoda C9 arrives in Q1. Unlike the front-driven C5 with its 1,5-litre engine and CVT, the C9 introduces a 2,0-litre turbo petrol paired with an eight-speed transmission and all-wheel drive.
Boasting a claimed range of 450 km per charge, the brand is also earmarking Q2 for the arrival of its first all-electric product, the Omoda E5.

Opel
A visually striking hatchback that remains underrated in our market, Stellantis will look to change this trend once the updated Corsa arrives in Q3 of 2024. Together with enhanced specifications and features, the confirmed Opel hatch will adopt the same design language as its Mokka crossover sibling.
Peugeot
Sharing a platform with the abovementioned Opel Mokka, it’ll be intriguing to see whether Stellantis decides to consider the all-electric version of the updated Peugeot 2008 within its plans for a Q3 launch. Arriving ahead of the 2008, in Q2, is an updated version of the Landtrek double-cab.
Renault
After a few frustrating years of unavoidable delays and allocation constraints, Renault South Africa is set for a bumper 2024. Look forward to facelifts of both the Triber and Kiger in Q2, significant updates to the Clio and Captur in Q3 and the introduction of the new generation Duster – including a 4×4 derivative – in Q4.
Toyota
Toyota South Africa will begin another inevitably busy year with the Q1 introduction of the all-new Land Cruiser Prado, as well as a small update to the Land Cruiser 70. We’re also interested to note what specification changes to the GR86 entail.
